We are dedicated to the exploration, study and conservation of caves and have been serving the caving communities of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey since becoming the 235th charted Grotto of the National Speleological Society on April 4th, 1976.
Our main goal for the Commander Cody Caving Club (CCCC) is to provide a forum for Delaware Valley cavers to get together and discuss all aspects of caving and to arrange caving trips. Also, training in vertical caving, surveying, cave conservation, cave safety and other aspects of caving for the new and/or experienced caver is provided based on needs and interests.
Every year we have two grotto/club trips (in the Spring and Fall) and countless smaller trips going out on weekends. While our major stomping grounds are Wild and Wonderful West Virginia, Virginia and Pennsylvania, we have members caving in many states from Delaware to Hawaii.
You do not need to live in Delaware to be a member of our club.
We’re kid friendly, pet friendly and even friendly to those who don’t cave anymore but still love hanging out with us.
